My name is Arthur Owsley. I am a multidisciplinary artist based out of Phoenix, Arizona. I am a painter, tattooer, sculptor, graphic designer, illustrator, and muralist. My work marries 18th-century aesthetics with contemporary themes of mortality, and transformation. Across all mediums, my work is guided by an interest in ritual, symbolism, and the process of creation. 

        I draw from classical techniques, folklore, and my own internal mythology to construct images and objects that feel both ancient and modern. Through this blending of disciplines, I aim to create work that invites viewers to pause, interpret, and imagine the mythological through-line and meaning behind my work as an anthropologist would for an ancient culture.
